Helen joined Rose Litigation Lawyers in 2021 and practises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
Helen comes to Rose with a broad litigation background and has regularly appeared in the Supreme and District Court of Queensland, having previously practised in insurance and plaintiff litigation, public liability, indemnity, medical negligence and malpractice matters.
She additionally has experience in construction (both back end and front end) as well as property and leasing disputes.
Helen is a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland, admitted in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Journalism from the Queensland University of Technology.
During her studies she notably worked in-house at Mitsui & Co (Legal) in Tokyo Japan as a New Colombo Plan Scholar, and held numerous positions in various university associations. She also competed nationally and internationally in mooting (mock court competitions).
Helen is the current President of Queensland Young Lawyers, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the personal and professional development of legal practitioners in Queensland.
She was a short listed candidate in the Queensland Law Society, Future Leaders Election in 2020. Helen is also a volunteer with the Australian Red Cross, as an International Humanitarian Law speaker.
Outside of work, she is an avid fitness fanatic, plays piano, thinks she is punny, and enjoys weekend coffee snobbery with her small dog.
