Bohden was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in August 2023, after completing studies at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Bohden’s practice at Rose Litigation Lawyers focuses on a diverse range of commercial disputes, including intellectual property (trade mark disputes, copyright infringement, patent litigation), insolvency, shareholder disputes, administrative law, building and construction, defamation, body corporate matters, and tax litigation.
Bohden is currently undertaking a Master of Laws (LLM) in Intellectual Property at the University of Technology Sydney and is on track to obtain accreditation as a registered attorney with IP Australia.
Prior to admission, Bohden gained valuable experience as an Associate at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (now the Administrative Review Tribunal), primarily working within the General and Tax & Commercial Divisions.
In his extra-curricular life, Bohden has sat in various executive and non-executive positions for the University of the Sunshine Coast Law Students Association, the Australian Law Students Association, and Caboolture Rugby Union.
Outside of his legal work, Bohden enjoys exploring his interests in cooking, camping, exercise, and any other hobbies which pique his interest. Bohden says that his proudest achievement to date is commencing his 20th year straight of playing rugby with the Snakes.
Recent matter involvement
- Represented a State Government Agency, successfully recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars in statutory debts and, where necessary, securing bankruptcy orders against infringing parties.
- Acted for a Brisbane-based boutique clothing label in a trade mark dispute against a multi-national billion-dollar corporation, ensuring the client retained full rights to their brand without disruption to trade, branding, or advertising.
- Represented a client in complex body corporate disputes before the Body Corporate and Community Management Commission, Magistrates Court, and District Court, securing the appointment of an administrator over the body corporate due to the conduct of an infringing lot owner.
- Successfully represented a client in winding-up proceedings, negotiating a settlement that prevented the client’s liquidation and eliminated over $100,000 in liability from a judgment debt.
- Represented a former executive of a large-scale mining company in a Fair Work Commission claim for breach of workplace rights, securing compensation and a formal record of resignation.
- Acted on behalf of multiple individuals who had lost capacity, recovering full historical interest entitlements from a government entity—remaining unpaid for over 12 years—without the need for litigation.
